UBAA kicks off 2019 with Social Justice!

2nd Annual Social Justice Conversation with Dr. Angela Davis and Rapper, Common

Born out of a strategic partnership between UBAA and Common's Imagine Justice Foundation, UBAA welcomed legendary activist and former UCLA Professor, Angela Davis and award winning artist, Rapper Common for its 2nd Annual Social Justice Conversation on Saturday, January 12th, 2019 moderated by Atlantic Journalist Jemele Hill. From its inaugural Conversation between Common and UCLA Alum and NBA HOF recipient, Kareem Abdul Jabbar in 2018, to now in 2019 capturing the nationwide platform of CSPAN who videoed the Conversation live, UBAA is excited to see the growth, interest and power that the Summit has birthed.

It is this and future programming that UBAA has planned that will continue to catapult our organization and solidify our position as leaders in advocacy of Social Justice's past, present and future leaders in the global community. If you have not considered becoming a member, have lapsed in your participation or are looking for ways to partner with UBAA, consider membershippartnership and scholarship to support the ongoing efforts of UBAA to bring the promise of tuition for every incoming African American Student a reality and our one million dollar goal for 2019 realized.
