Welcome Reception &

UBAA Kicked off the Inaugural Black Alumni Homecoming weekend with its Annual meeting at the Fowler Museum.  We introduced your 2018-2020 UCLA Black Alumni Association Officers and 2018-2019 Board of Directors. President Michelle Johnson shared her vision with its members. She challenged the Association to increase our annual membership to 500 members and to  increase our fundraising efforts to $1,000,000 a year to support our growing Black undergraduate and graduate student population.  We also unveiled the Black Bruin Legacy video created by Tierra Thomas (Class of 2019)

Black Wednesday on Friday

On Friday, Black Bruins convened on campus to take a trip back down memory lane.  Our day started off with a financial empowerment workshop by several Bruin alumni. After the workshop, we went on campus tour with a people of color twist.  Alumni learned about the various students of color contributions to UCLA.  At noon, we ate and fellowshipped with a performance by the East African Students Association.  We also learned the "UCLA", a line dance created by Black Bruins from the Class of 2010.

Let's Play: The Ultimate Adult
Game Night Experience

The Bruin Playground brought bruins from across the nation to experience a special night of board games, sexy musical chairs, old school candy, overside tricycles, cigar lounge, video game lounge, 3 dj's and so much more.  Over 250 people attended from all classes.
